The retreat is held right next to beautiful Tallows Beach set in 30 acres of secluded bushland. With daily yoga, meditation and all yoga related activities taught by Senior Yoga Teacher, Sue Hawkins. All Core Energetics is under the expertise of Ranil Sharma who was trained here in Australia and overseas for over 15 years and has been fortunate enough to study with the original founders of Core Energetics.
This is a method to work through key stages of your development with understanding at every level – emotional, physical, energetic and spiritual. This is a practical training as participants work together to apply Ranil’s teachings. The effects are often felt for months after the retreat has finished creating an opportunity for personal growth and a life changing experience that is positive and rewarding. About the Retreat Program
What is Core Energetics: Core Energetics is body psychotherapy. Early last century some of the worlds’ leading psychiatrists noticed that there was a very strong correlation between a person’s emotional state, their physical body and their bio-electromagnetic energy field. The more that they worked with the body and energy field, the quicker and deeper were the results on a person’s emotional and spiritual health.
We all have belief systems that originate from the very early stages of life. In order to have a solid foundation in the physical world, these developmental phases need to be reasonably well met. When our needs are not met or over met, we can have severe responses emotionally, spiritually, physically and energetically. Wow! So I have heard of the body-mind connection. Is this where that came from?
Of course many traditional cultures have looked at health this way. The Chinese (TCM) and the Indians (Ayurveda) are probably the best known, but most cultures had a naturopathic and holistic lifestyle approach to health.Many of Ranil’s clients are professionals (healthcare and business). They come to see him because they feel stuck in a particular area if their lives e.g. career, relationship, finances. They are usually quite self-aware and focused on their own development and really want to take it to another level. They are ready to take a deeper level of responsibility for their feelings and lives.
Ranil will show how you how to work through these key stages, whether with others or for yourself, at every level – emotionally, physically, energetically and spiritually. This is a practical training so we will be working with each other to apply the teachings of Core Energetics Body Psychotherapy.
About the Yoga and other activities: Mornings are Vinyasa style yoga, guided meditation, Yoga Nidra, Pilates class and afternoons we focus on a more restorative practice including Yoga Nidra for deep relaxation. There is plenty of free time to relax or enjoy a range of healing and spa treatments, swimming, beach walks, bike rides, tennis you choose your own leisure activity. We provide plenty of individual attention and assistance during classes, particularly if you have any injuries or special needs.
Retreat Food: Delicious, organic vegan meals in the Ayurveda Tradition of proper food preparation and combination as well as raw food dishes, fresh organic juices and herbal teas. A buffet style of interesting and tasty dishes which are a feast for the senses! If you are not used to eating vegetarian we can guarantee you won’t miss animal protein! The chef is out of this world!
Retreat Accommodation: There are self contained cottages with 2 bedrooms and shared bathrooms. Single occupancy is 2 people with own room sharing cottage. Twin share is 2 people in one room sharing with 1 other in cottage. Double twin is 4 people twin sharing in a cottage. They are fully self contained with nice decor, lounge room, dining, air conditioned and own balcony. All nestled in 30 acres of secluded bushland right next to beautiful Tallows Beach.

Retreat Teachers & Facilitators
Sue Hawkins is a Senior Qualified Yoga Instructor who has been practicing for over 26 years and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the highest level E-RYT500. Sue has studied Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra Yoga, Therapy and Partner Yoga. She furthered her studies travelling to India to deepen her knowledge of yoga asanas, pranayama, Ayurveda and yoga philosophy. She is the founder and director of Byron Bay Yoga, now Yoga Health Retreats and has been running retreats for over 10 years. Sue has instructed on teacher trainings, run workshops and is passionate about running retreats regularly in Byron Bay, Australia and internationally.
Josie Cain, Co-ordinator, is an experienced Yoga and Pilates instructor. Josie co-ordinates all the retreat schedules and assists participants during the retreat with any requests, no matter how big or small! Josie is an important team member and effortlessly provides support for the retreat to run smoothly.
David English, Massage Therapist, “Sugata” is a very experienced massage therapist who has been practising for over 19 years. His style is deeply nurturing, offering remedial and relaxation sessions using a highly intuitive method which is extremely popular! Yoga Health Retreats provides a 1hr complimentary remedial massage session with Sugata and he is available for more bookings during the retreat. Bookings in advance are recommended!
Grant Hawkins, Reiki/Intuitive Healer, Counselor, Facilitator. Grant has facilitated an extensive range of groups and events and has a natural ability to tune into people in a profound and healing way. He is a trained counsellor and has been giving Reiki Healings and Intuitive Readings for many years and offers Reiki healings at other retreats.

Tallows Beach Cottages are peaceful and serene, set in 30 acres of secluded bushland right next to beautiful Tallows Beach facing Byron Bay’s Lighthouse. Each cottage has 2 bedrooms with shared bathroom, open kitchen, dining and lounge room with large verandah. All are air conditioned, are light and airy with nice decor. A Single booking is 2 people per cottage. Twin share booking is 2 people in one bedroom, sharing with one other in other bedroom. (3 people sharing cottage) Double twin is 4 people sharing one cottage and bathroom.
If there is a group of 3 guests we can accommodate in a new cottage which offers individual bathrooms with each bedroom and guests share living area of the cottage

You can check in from 2.00pm onwards and settle into your accommodation, enjoy a refreshing swim in the ocean or just relax in the grounds. We meet at 3.30pm for an informal introduction and yoga class. Check out time on the last day is 10am from your cabin. The retreat closes at 11.30am.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to reserve your booking. The full balance is due 6 weeks prior to the retreat, otherwise your booking may be cancelled. Requests for changing retreat dates are at the discretion of Yoga Health Retreats and incur a fee of $100.
We provide a nurturing and safe environment and our program is thoughtfully planned, but no responsibility will be taken for any injuries incurred during the retreat. Medical history forms are to be completed before each retreat, however we also advise you to consult your doctor if you have any pre-existing medical conditions. Modifications are given to students with special needs.
